How much

Dosage

1/2 to 1 tsp of powder, or 500-1000 mg in tablet form, once daily. Suitable for long-term use.

How to take it

Preparation & usage

Overnight infusion

Stir 1 tsp powder into a cup of warm water, leave covered overnight, drink the liquid in the morning.

Morning on an empty stomach for cleansing

Warm water dose

Mix 1/2 tsp powder into warm water and drink immediately.

One to two hours after dinner for regularity

Precautions

  • Start at a low dose; too much causes loose stools
  • Avoid in pregnancy and during acute diarrhoea
  • Take two hours apart from other medication
